The psychology department at the University of Georgia will hold a memorial service for psychology professor Richard Marsh at 10 a.m. today in the third-floor reading room of the Miller Student Learning Center.

Several students and other speakers will give brief comments about Marsh, 47, who died June 8 after an illness. Afterward, friends and colleagues will share their memories of him.

The department created a Richard L. Marsh Mentoring Award to honor students and faculty members who show a strong commitment to mentoring, which Marsh was noted for.
